How to Download Minecraft Mods
Mod Download – Manual
- To download Minecraft mods, find the Mod Developers Download page for the mod you want – start by looking on minecraftforum.net
- Find the link for the version of the mod you want to download
- Download the mod – beware of fake download links!
- Check if there are any dependency mods required and download them

- Get a Modgician Mod Installer account
- Launch the mod installer and select the version you want
- Find the mod you want, select it and click Install – for the majority of mods it will auto download and install for you
How to Install Minecraft Mods

- After downloading the mod, find the mod developers instructions for how to install the mod – normally, it will need a dependency mod like Forge which needs to be installed first
- Carefully follow the mod developers instructions to install the mod into Minecraft, this normally involves placing files within the ./minecraft/mods/[version]/ folder within the Minecraft installation
- Test to see if the mods works
